Every company has moments that define it.
For Vivonté, the end of 2025 was one of those moments. The passing of Glen Hamilton, a founding force behind the company, left more than an emotional void. Glen was not only a co-founder, he was the connective tissue between many parts of the business. His relationships, his instincts, and his leadership had shaped Vivonté from the beginning. Losing him created both a leadership gap and an operational challenge that the entire team felt deeply.
The start of 2026 was not easy. Like many family-built businesses, Vivonté had grown through passion, trust, and close personal relationships. When someone central to that structure is suddenly gone, it forces a moment of reflection. Hard questions had to be asked about the future of the company, how it would operate, and how the vision that started it all could continue without the person who helped build it.
What emerged from that period was clarity.
The team made a decision early on that Vivonté would move forward not by abandoning its foundations, but by strengthening them. The relationships with Dominican growers, blenders, and torcedores remained the heart of the company. Those partnerships, built over many years, continue to guide how our cigars are made and how the business grows. In many ways, those relationships became the compass that helped steady the company during a difficult transition.
Today, a new generation of leadership is carrying Vivonté forward with renewed focus. Working closely with our partners in the Dominican Republic, the current ownership team has been rebuilding the structure of the business, refining operations, and setting a clear path for long-term growth. That includes developing new blends, expanding into new markets, and strengthening the systems that support both our customers and our production partners.
Growth, however, has never been the only goal.
Vivonté was built on craft, patience, and relationships. Those principles remain the foundation of every decision we make. As the brand continues to expand around the world, we remain committed to investing in the people behind the cigars—the farmers who grow the tobacco, the blenders who shape the flavor, and the rollers whose skill brings each cigar to life.
The future of Vivonté will look different than its past. Every evolving company does. But the spirit that started it remains unchanged.
A love for great cigars. Respect for the craft. And the belief that the best cigars are still the ones made slowly, carefully, and with pride.
